Zodiac Interactive Trumpets Its EBIF Deployments

Interactive TV software developer, Zodiac Interactive (note: the company recently launched version 2.5 of its PowerUp ITV Framework--see the article published on itvt.com, January 12th), announced Monday that its EBIF user agent is successfully operating in conjunction with applications from multiple vendors and development environments within the cable ITV ecosystem, including NDS for addressable EBIF-based interactive ads to individual Cisco (Scientific-Atlanta) set-top boxes.

Brandon Brown Named CEO of Zodiac Interactive

Interactive TV software provider, Zodiac Interactive, has named Brandon Brown CEO. He replaces Zodiac's co-founder, Michael Rivkin, who will now become CTO. The company says that Brown will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities as it "moves into a new growth stage." "Brandon is a seasoned IT veteran, bringing to Zodiac more than 20 years' experience executing and growing profitable businesses for both commercial and open-source markets, and we're pleased to have his multinational expertise," Zodiac co-founder and COO, Alex Libkind, said in a prepared statement.

The NCTA and CableLabs have announced the line-up of companies
that will be participating in CableNET, their annual showcase of new
cable technologies and products at the NCTA's Cable Show (takes
place May 18th-20th in New Orleans). A number of participating
companies, including UniSoft/Strategy & Technology, Sigma Designs
and Zodiac Interactive, will be demo'ing tru2way-based technologies,
and several other companies, including Digeo, Motorola, Pixel3 and
Symmetricom, will be demo'ing other advanced video technologies. In
addition, there will be a number of presentations on tru2way at a
CableNET Theater.
