DVR vendor/service provider, TiVo, continues to add to the line-up of OTT content that can be accessed through its broadband-connected set-tops. The company said Monday that Pandora's personalized Internet radio service is now available on all broadband-connected TiVo Premiere DVR's. "Just as TiVo revolutionized your television and personalized your viewing content, the Pandora application brings additional music customization to the all-in-one TiVo box," Jim Denney, TiVo's VP and general manager of product marketing, said in a prepared statement.

The BBC last week announced plans to offer four original "intera ctive episodes" of its long-running scifi series, "Doctor Who." Entitled "Doctor Who--The Adventure Games" and available free of charge on bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, the "interactive episodes" will take the form of downloadable computer games for PC and Mac that will allow players to assume control of The Doctor and his human sidekick, Amy, as they embark on new adventures that complement the latest season of the TV series, the corporation says.

Hybrid Television Services, the Seven Media Group subsidiary that holds an exclusive license for TiVo products in Australia and New Zealand, is launching a podcast service today for Australian TiVo customers, following a deal it struck with dmg Radio Australia last December. According to the company, the new service--which all TiVo users in Australia will automatically receive on their TiVo devices at no additional charge--provides highlights of all seven regional breakfast and drive-time shows on dmg Radio Australia-owned radio networks, Nova and Vega, and will be updated on a daily basis. The podcasts will stream "on-demand," Hybrid TV says, meaning that they will start playing immediately once the end-user selects them.
