SnappyTV is gaining some attention for its social TV viewing site, which allows users to share 20-second video clips from shows with friends on Facebook and Twitter. But since it only has rights to share clips from a handful of programs from Fox, Bravo, and other networks, it could be difficult for SnappyTV to attract a broad following.
--Viewers to Select Ending for "American Idol" Judge Jennifer Lopez's New Music Video
Fox Broadcasting confirmed Friday that the reality show, "American Idol," will allow Facebook-powered online voting, starting Tuesday, March 1st immediately after the show's first performance episode (airs 8:00-9:30PM, Eastern/Pacific). News of the development was broken by Entertainment Weekly last week (see the article published on itvt.com, February 25th); while People separately reported that Simon Cowell's new reality show, "The X-Factor," will also shortly offer voting via Facebook.
