--Nielsen's Media-Sync Technology Powers Primetime Emmy-Nominated "Grey's Anatomy" Sync App

[itvt] is pleased to present the latest edition of StoryCentric, our video column from Brian Seth Hurst, CEO of The Opportunity Management Company and former second vice chair of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. StoryCentric focuses on the business, technology and art of interactive storytelling, and highlights new technologies and other industry developments that have the potential to fundamentally change the way we create and interact with stories and narratives--in television and beyond.

This edition of the column features the first part of a two-part interview with Scott Maddux, SVP of product development for Media-Sync, a joint venture between Nielsen and Digimarc. Maddux discusses his company's work on the iPad-based "Grey's Anatomy" Sync App, which was just nominated for a Primetime Emmy (the app is powered by Nielsen's Media-Sync technology), and the relationship between storytelling and apps in general.
