ACR-Based Social-TV Company, IntoNow, Fixes Security Flaw that Revealed User Email Addresses

--Flaw Was Discovered by [itvt] Blogger, Wes Williams

[itvt] is pleased to present a new article from [itvt] blogger, Wes Williams, director of online production at Scripps Networks:

In "IntoNow Flaw Revealed User Email Addresses," Williams writes about a security flaw that he discovered while using IntoNow, the recently launched (see the article published on itvt.com, February 1st) automatic content recognition (ACR)-based social-TV/programming discovery service. The flaw--which IntoNow promptly fixed, once Williams alerted the company to its existence--revealed user email addresses in data sent between the company's servers and its iPhone app.
