SeaChange International said Wednesday that Polish telco, INEA, has rolled out a VOD service using the converged Service Delivery Platform (cSDP) and systems integration services of SeaChange-subsidiary, SeaChange|eventIS (note: SeaChange acquired Eindhoven-based eventIS back in 2009; for more on the acquisition, see the article published on itvt.com, September 2nd, 2009). According to SeaChange, the launch of INEA's new Wypozyczalnia Filmow VOD service means that SeaChange|eventIS is now the platform provider for a total of four VOD services across Poland. The company is also powering VOD services in Slovenia and Hungry.
INEA's new VOD service currently offers around 150 SD and HD programs, organized into several packages. "SeaChange|eventIS offered the combination of technology flexibility and systems integration expertise that INEA felt was critical to building a platform that can meet our current needs and scale in concert with expanding requirements," INEA president, Janusz Kosinski, said in a prepared statement. "We successfully rolled out our VOD service within the pre-set timeline and have enjoyed extremely positive customer feedback since its introduction." Added Erwin van Dommelen, president of SeaChange Software: "SeaChange|eventIS' work with INEA is a powerful example of our unique ability to combine open VOD systems with strong systems integration capabilities to deploy a platform that addresses very particular technology and market requirements. As one of Poland's larger telecoms, INEA is now positioned to serve its existing customer base and grow alongside the increasing popularity of its services."
