New Edition of StoryCentric Focuses on Crowdsourced Storytelling

--Features Brian Clark, CEO of GMD Studios, in Conversation with Brian Seth Hurst

[itvt] is pleased to present the LATEST EDITION of StoryCentric, our new video column from Brian Seth Hurst, CEO of The Opportunity Management Company and former second vice chair of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. StoryCentric focuses on the business, technology and art of interactive storytelling, and highlights new technologies and other industry developments that have the potential to fundamentally change the way we create and interact with stories and narratives--in television and beyond.

This edition of the column sees Hurst discussing the emerging phenomenon of crowdsourced storytelling with Brian Clark, CEO of GMD Studios, a company that describes itself as "one of the world's premiere experimental media laboratories, exploring the frontiers of how networked communities transform the nature of collaboration in the digital age." Topics covered include the rules for effective crowdsourced storytelling; the privacy issues that are raised by audience participation; the significance of "Bar Karma," Sims creator Will Wright's new crowdsourced drama series on Current TV; the future of crowdsourced storytelling; and much more.
