Cable industry-backed VOD programming distributor, iN Demand, said last week that it has reached an agreement with Howard Stern Productions to continue offering the Howard TV On Demand subscription VOD service.
According to the company, the service--which launched in 2006 when shock jock, Howard Stern, made the move from terrestrial to satellite radio, and which iN Demand says is available in 40 million US and Canadian digital cable households (via Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Cablevision, Charter, Bright House and Rogers Cable)--offers over 40 hours of uncensored programming each month, including video versions of Stern's daily radio show (on Sirius XM), selections from his television archives (including uncensored versions of an interview show he hosted on E!), original programs and behind-the-scenes footage. The service also has a social media presence at http://www.facebook.com/HowardTV. "The production staff at Howard TV looks forward to continuing to entertain Howard Stern fans with our one-of-a-kind programming via original series, specials and the exclusive daily shows from Howard's radio studio," Howard TV executive producer, Doug Z. Goodstein, said in a prepared statement. "Our commitment is to give fans an in-depth viewpoint of the world of Howard Stern unlike anything on television."
