WhittmanHart in 360-Degree Interactive Video Partnership with Social Animal

Digital marketing agency, WhittmanHart, said Tuesday that it is partnering with Social Animal, a company that specializes in creating 360-degree interactive HD video for commercial and creative applications (note: other companies offering 360-degree interactive video solutions include Immersive Media, yellowBird and Analysis Systems Research). According to the company, the partnership will allow it to leverage Social Animal's 360-degree and 3D capabilities to deliver "progressive video solutions" to leading brands. "As a digital agency, our success is closely tied to how well we interpret and react to trends," WhittmanHart president, Chip Weinstein, said in a prepared statement. "For years, we've made a serious commitment to our video content capabilities--something that's notably distinct in our category. Our partnership with Social Animal is intended to help our clients respond to a consumer that's more in-tune with emerging trends than ever."

Social Animal's flagship products are the SA9 Camera System and the SA360 Player. According to the company, the SA9 captures HD 360-degree footage in real time with minimal distortion and warping; and the SA360 Player transforms that footage into a "highly engaging and interactive online experience." Social Animal's 3D 360 Production Service, which was launched earlier this year, is billed by the company as leveraging the SA9 Camera System to bring "enhanced, lifelike images" to large and small screens.

As part of the companies' partnership, WhittmanHart also plans to offer 2D-to-3D conversion services provided by SA Studio, Social Animal's creative services arm.
