Minerva Networks, a company that bills itself as a provider of open-platform, carrier-class solutions for the delivery of pay-TV services over broadband IP networks, said Monday that it has opened two new international sales and support offices in Italy and Argentina.
According to the company, its new Milan-based European Sales and Support Office, which will be led by Gaetano Franzini, will provide sales and field support for customers located in both Western and Eastern Europe. Franzini joins Minerva from Nokia Siemens where, the company says, he held various positions in engineering and sales management in Africa, the Americas and Europe. Minerva's new Buenos Aires-based Latin America Sales and Support Office, meanwhile, which will be led by Leonardo Gioino, will serve customers in Central and South America. Prior to joining Minerva, the company says, Gioino managed UTStarcom's business development and sales operations in South America, and prior to that served in sales and field operations positions at GTE, Verizon, Ascend, Lucent and Zhone. "We are experiencing significant demand from international operators thanks to the success we have enjoyed in North America," Randy Osborne, Minerva's VP of worldwide sales, said in a prepared statement. "We are building a strong global sales and support presence by adding dynamic professionals with a proven track record in the service providers market."
Minerva also operates sales and support offices in Alviso, California (where it is headquartered); Detroit; Atlanta; Valdivia, Chile; Como, Italy; and Dubai.
