Veeple Demo's Prototype Interactive Video Platform for Mobile Phones

Veeple said Tuesday that it has developed a version of its interactive video platform for mobile devices. A video posted by the company on its Web site shows its new mobile interactive video platform--which is still a prototype--working on a Droid handset. "In this video," the company explains on its corporate blog, "Veeple's SVP of user experience, Doug Broomfield, demonstrates the interactive video experience for the first time for [his brother] Veeple CEO, Scott Broomfield. As you can see from Scott's reaction, it is all pretty cool. The ability to interact directly with a video on a mobile device, where there is no other real estate BUT the video, is huge. And something our customers have been clamoring for, for quite some time. As Steve Jobs at Apple says, the future is not with PC's or mice, but with touch screens using fingers...We couldn't agree with Jobs more. It truly is now all about interactive computing, and getting it into the mobile device for video is, as one noted industry expert put it, 'catalytic.'"

While Veeple's new mobile interactive video functionality is still being fine-tuned in the company's labs, the company says that it is close to bringing it to market.
