CBS Interactive has announced the launch of a multiplatform, original, "news and factoid-focused" series, entitled "TV Briefly," which it says will focus on the behind-the-scenes stories of some of CBS's most popular shows, including "CSI: Miami," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "NCIS" and "Medium." The show, which is sponsored by HP, will also include two short videos for each of the four TV series featured, as well as a link to their full episodes on CBS.com.
According to CBS Interactive, "TV Briefly" episodes will be available on the Web, mobile, streaming radio and on CBS's Times Square billboard. The company says that each episode of the show will highlight one of the featured shows' history and cast "in an offbeat humorous format," together with related video clips and pictures. "More than any other network, CBS has consistently developed incredibly popular television shows that are followed by millions of passionate fans week-to-week," Jeff Clark, president of CBS.com, said in a prepared statement. "'TV Briefly' will help extend the show experience by giving fans new information about their favorite shows beyond what they see on TV. Through these fun, bite-size videos featuring relevant news and trivia, we give fans a more interactive and complete look into their favorite programs."
