Visiware Deploys Interactive TV Games on Microsoft Mediaroom-Powered Infostrada IPTV Platform

Paris-based interactive TV games specialist, Visiware, announced Tuesday that its Playin'TV games are now available on Infostrada TV, a Microsoft Mediaroom-powered IPTV platform operated by Italian telco, Wind Telecommunications.

According to the company, six games from its Playin'TV catalog that have been adapted for the Mediaroom platform--"Solitaire," "Reversi," "Tactic 2 Vitamin," "Twin Match Ocean," "Tweezle Lab" and "Buzzbee"--are now available free of charge in Infostrada TV's "Extra" section.

Visiware's Playin'TV games have previously launched in Italy on Sky Italia and on Vodafone Italia's mobile phone service. Internationally, they are available on over 30 cable, satellite and IPTV platforms, according to the company, including DISH Network, Bell TV, Videotron, Canalsat, TPS, Numericable, UPC, Nova, Multichoice, Dish TV India, StarHub, True Visions, Austar, Foxtel and Sky New Zealand. Visiware--which has also begun to branch out into the design and development of other interactive TV applications (including widgets, EPG's, VOD portals and interactive ads) and of user interfaces for pay-TV platforms and CE devices--claims that its catalog includes over 200 games.
