AEG Digital Media--a company that specializes in the technical and creative production of music, sports, reality and special event programming and that claims to take "a broadcast approach to streaming media to enable the world's most watched and most innovative Webcasts and live events"--contacted [itvt] late Monday to let us know that it is producing a live Webcast of today's (Tuesday, December 1st) sold-out concert by Alicia Keys in AEG's Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York City. According to the company, the Webcast will present "a pristine multi-camera view of the live concert in full HD," and will feature an integrated Twitter feed, allowing users to tweet and view tweets about the concert as it happens.
The concert, which is presented by American Express, will be Webcast in its entirety on Sony Music's Alicia Keys channel on YouTube, starting at 8.00PM Eastern. According to AEG Digital, the Webcast will be available worldwide. The company says that the production of the Webcast will see it "incorporat[ing] many of the elements of its global service offerings, including housing, producing and some of the technical coordination of the event." "The Alicia Keys show is a true representation of a collective vision around live digital HD Web production," AEG Digital Media president, Michael Goldfine, said in a prepared statement. "We are thrilled to be a core part of a team that is bringing this once-in-a lifetime event to the world."
