Packet Vision--a UK-based company which has developed an IP-based advertising delivery platform that it bills as supporting local ad insertion, and interactive and targeted advertising that can be tailored to match the demographics of individual households and altered in real time to reflect viewers' reactions--announced Monday that it has signed a deal with US-based advertising service and sales company, Prime Media Productions, to offer an integrated advertising solution for the US IPTV market.
According to the companies, the combination of Packet Vision's technology and Prime Media's sales expertise will provide IPTV operators with a "one stop solution" for all their local advertising needs. "Our solution is ideal for local telco IPTV markets in the US and combined with Prime's expertise in advertising sales makes a compelling proposition," Packet Vision CEO, Charlie Horrell, said in a prepared statement. "The returns for the operators will be fast and substantial." Added Prime Media CEO, Walter Staniszewski: "Local advertising is crucial revenue for the telco and this is a market we know very well. Combined with simple low-cost technology solutions we think the joint proposition will be very appealing."
