Verizon FiOS TV Extends its Media Manager's My Music and My Photos Features to Apple Mac
Verizon said Tuesday that it is extending the My Music and My Photos features of its FiOS TV Media Manager service (lets DVR-enabled subscribers organize, manage and access content stored on their computer on their TV set) to Apple Mac computers. The company says that it is also working on a Mac version of Media Manager's My Videos feature. "Mac users can now stream their computer-based iPod playlists straight to their TV to play their music on their home entertainment systems," Eric Rabe, Verizon's SVP of media relations, wrote in a blog posting. "Of course, the music must be Digital Rights Management (DRM)-free for it to play seamlessly on the TV entertainment system," he added.
