CBS Offering Multiplatform Enhancements for "Survivor: Samoa"

CBS Interactive contacted [itvt] Monday to let us know that its CBS Mobile arm has launched a "Survivor: Samoa" mobile Web site and Palm Pre application for Sprint customers. According to the broadcaster, the new offerings, which were developed by Treemo Labs and are sponsored by Sprint, allow viewers to:

• Watch a range of video content, including episode and preview clips, and cast interviews (on both the Palm Pre app and the mobile Web site), and full episodes of "Survivor: Samoa" (on the Palm Pre app).
• Play the CBS.com "Survivor Fantasy League" game (whose grand prize is a trip to Samoa).
• Use their mobile to vote for "Player of the Week," and, if they are registered fans, be entered into a weekly $10,000 sweepstakes.
• Find out more about the show, its cast and its Samoan location through photos, bios, video interviews and the latest "Survivor Guide."

In addition, CBS Interactive has launched a "Survivor" video trivia contest on CBS.com. Other "Survivor"-related offerings on the site's official "Survivor Hub" include full episodes of the show, "secret scenes," sneak peeks, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, "final words," contestant commentaries, and a new "Immunity Blog" featuring Coach and Debbie from season 18. The show also has an official Twitter feed, @survivor_tweet.
