Movie Central, a commercial-free premium programmer owned by Corus Entertainment, has launched Movie Central Interactive (MCi), an interactive guide to its programming schedule that is located on a dedicated channel (313) on the Bell TV pay-TV platform (note: it can also be accessed through Bell TV's iTV Home portal).
The guide, which features schedule information for several weeks in advance, lists programming from all Movie Central's multiplex channels, including HBO Canada, by program title or date. It allows viewers to access detailed programming information, set programming reminders, and record programming directly to a DVR, Corus says. "We're pleased to team up with Bell TV to provide viewers with tools that will make it easy to plan their viewing time and not miss any of the exclusive programming that Movie Central has to offer--including the full HBO Canada lineup of dramas, films, sports and programming events that are incredibly popular with our viewers," Andrew Eddy, VP of content distribution and strategy at Corus Entertainment, said in a prepared statement. Added Bell TV's VP of video products, Shawn Omstead: "The Movie Central Interactive scheduling channel is a great example of how Bell TV continues to enhance our subscribers' TV viewing experience. Bell TV already brings Canadians the most HD channels, crystal clear picture and sound and now, by partnering with Movie Central, our already industry-leading PVR's just got better."
