Paris-based interactive TV games company, Visiware (note: the company's ITV g ames channels, which include Playin'TV, Playin'Casino and MiniKids TV, have been deployed on around 30 cable, satellite and IPTV networks around the world, including DISH Network, Bell TV, Wind, Videotron, Canalsat, TPS, Numericable, Sky Italia, UPC, Nova, Multichoice, Dish TV India, StarHub, True Visions, Austar, Foxtel and Sky New Zealand), continues its expansion into multi-device gaming (note: see, for example, the article published on itvt.com, May 8th, 2006): the company announced Monday that it has adapted its second game for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch devices: "A Tweezle Lab," which joins the iPhone/iPod touch version of its "Babel Words" game that launched late last year (see the article published on itvt.com, December 30th). The company has previously announced plans to adapt the user interface and gameplay of a selection of games from its existing catalog for launch on the iPhone and iPod touch.
According to Visiware, "A Tweezle Lab" is a puzzle game in which players have to help a "nutty professor" to clone aliens: players "need to link both sides of the gaming area to provide enough energy for the generator to work," the company explains. "The more complex the network [a player] builds is, the more sophisticated the clone is, and the more points the player wins." The game features various different playing modes, such as "Adventure" and "Arcade," as well as a "Tutorial" mode that allows players to familiarize themselves with its rules. It is available though the iTunes Store (priced at $3.99 in the US) in English, French and Spanish, and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later. Visiware says it plans to launch additional iPhone/iPod touch versions of its games in the near future.
