Elects Krish Panu to its Board of Directors
VOD technology provider, Concurrent, has appointed David King to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company's global corporate marketing strategy, strategic alliances and channel partnerships, and will report directly to its recently appointed president and CEO, Dan Mondor.
King was previously VP of global marketing at NEC, where he oversaw all global marketing and public relations activities for the overseas business units of the company's enterprise solutions division, and where he was also responsible for global product and application portfolio strategy. His resume also includes stints as VP of marketing for WDM equipment provider, Movaz Networks, where he led marketing efforts to the cable and broadband industries; and as VP of global solutions for Nortel Networks, where he was responsible for over $1 billion in turnkey solutions with Fortune 1000 accounts. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Acadia University and an MBA from Ottawa University.

Panu is managing partner with the Galleon Group, one of Concurrent's largest shareholders; he was previously chairman and CEO of mobile resource management solutions provider, @Road, and general manager of the Logic Products division of semiconductor manufacturer, Atmel Corp.
