--Develops Interactive TV Application for Ocean Finance
UK-based interactive TV design company, Pushbutton, has designed and built a transactional broadband video player/portal for US sports programmer, ESPN. The portal, which is targeted at the European market, allows ESPN viewers to browse and view the latest American football, baseball, ice hockey and basketball games and other sports coverage. Pushbutton designed and developed the portal's front end, and handled integration with ESPN technology provider, Entriq. According to the company, the player is also closely integrated with DoubleClick's ad-serving and reporting technology. "The ESPN portal is a tremendous showcase for Pushbutton's growing broadband and IPTV output," Pushbutton managing director, Paula Byrne, said in a prepared statement. "We are well known for our interactive television design and build work on the satellite platform; now customers can see the benefits of using a design firm with a TV heritage, as opposed to Web shop background, for broadband projects based on TV and video properties."
In other Pushbutton news: The company has teamed with Canis Media to develop an interactive TV application to support a new channel on the Sky platform that features products and services offered by UK finance broker, Ocean Finance. Viewers who press the red button while watching the channel can access videos and read additional content about Ocean Finance's range of products.
