ScreenShot Gallery![]() Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM, just post the day's activities at the Western Show, the 2nd Annual Bandies Awards were held at the Sun Theater in Anaheim, California. They were the destination event for anyone interested in the future of broadband and interactive television. Nominees included both deployed and prototype projects. Much of the hard work needed to put on the event was done by the affable Russ Wolske, director of the awards, and Joann Pitelli, their executive director. The Bandies are the brainchild of, and are owned by, Michael Collette, currently SVP worldwide marketing for OpenTV. The evening got off to a start (after abundant schmoozing at the no-host bar in the foyer outside) when Collette appeared above the crowd, microphone in hand, to welcome attendees.
