Upgrades Service

Microsoft is providing a free software upgrade to customers of its UltimateTV integrated set-top box. The upgrade will be flash downloaded to end-users’ boxes over the DirecTV satellite stream. One new feature will allow viewers to keep a show until they decide to delete it. Another feature will allow viewers to record shows manually—i.e. specify the channel to be recorded and designate ‘start’ and ‘stop’ times for the recording. See screenshots from the upgrade below.
