ScreenShot Gallery![]() BBC i-barThe BBC’s new “BBCi” strategy encompasses all its interactive platforms, whether made for digital TV or the Web. The BBCi bar is currently available on Sky (next year, it will be available on all platforms) if you press the red button. According to BBC spokesperson, Chris Charton, many new BBCi projects are slated to come out in the new year. One project that will feature an interactive app before then is the special charity program, “Children in Need,” airing on November 16th. The app will allow viewers to send in money to support the cause.Producer: BBCi Network: BBC Program: BBC i-bar Platform: SkyDigital and others to follow Application: Appearing: 4th Quarter 2001 - on now ![]() This shot shows the navigation bar on the i-bar. ![]() You can access text news, sports information, the weather, or check out lottery results while watching an unrrelated program. ![]() Producers send up text from the Web chatroom so viewers at home can click in their opinion using the remote control. ![]() Eventually, one will be able to click directly to the Web from this view in order to participate in conversations, or, to the television itself, if the platform evolves.
