  • Oxygen built a Facebook application viewers can use during the premiere of its new series starring Paris Hilton. "The World According to Paris," set to debut June 1, will include a live video stream and chat function on Facebook. mms Powering SMS-Driven Interactive TV for Univision

Interactive mobile marketing company, mobile messaging solutions (mms), said Tuesday that it has been working with Univision Interactive Media, the digital division of Spanish-language broadcaster, Univision (which claims to be the largest Spanish-language media company in the US), to power a range of premium mobile-based interactive TV services--including voting, sweepstakes, polling and trivia--for such high-profile shows as "Sabado Gigante," "Despierta America," and "Escandalo TV." The company says that it will continue to work with Univision to expand in-show mobile interactivity on these and other top Univision programs.

Univision Launches Soccer App for Apple iPhone/iPod Touch

--iPad Version to Launch Before 2010 World Cup

Univision Interactive Media, the digital division of US Spanish-language broadcaster, Univision, announced Wednesday that it has launched a free, video-enabled soccer application, called Univision Futbol, in the Apple App Store. According to the company, the app, which was developed in partnership with July Systems, is currently available for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch, and a version that has been optimized for the new Apple iPad will be available in time for the upcoming soccer World Cup.

TNT and NBA Digital to Present Special Interactive Edition of "TNT NBA Thursday"

Turner Broadcasting-owned cable channel, TNT, and NBA Digital, the new media arm of the National Basketball Association (NBA), will tonight (Thursday) present a special interactive edition of the show "TNT NBA Thursday," (airs at 8:00PM Eastern) that integrates TNT, NBA TV and NBA.com.
