New York – Comcast is testing several different ways to deliver personalized TV recommendations to its customers, including suggesting shows based on a subscriber's viewing habits and content recommended by Facebook friends. "There are quite a few personalization initiatives that are live now in Augusta, Georgia, and rolling out to a lot of places in the near future," Comcast Search & Discovery senior director of product management Brian Curtis told attendees here at the TVOT NYC Intensive Monday.

Tunerfish, a new social TV service developed by employees of Plaxo, the address book/social networking service that Comcast acquired back in 2008 (note: Tunerfish is a business unit of Comcast Interactive Media--for more on the service, see the articles published on itvt.com, May 24th and June 28th), said Monday that it has been tapped by NBC News to power a promotion that rewards viewers of the news magazine show, "Dateline."
Just a month or so after its launch (see the article published on itvt.com, May 24th), Tunerfish, a new social TV service developed by employees of Plaxo, the address book/social networking service that Comcast acquired back in 2008, has rolled out a redesign. According to a posting on the Tunerfish blog, the redesign enables:
