Norwegian interactive TV technology provider, never.no, contacted [itvt] Tuesday to let us know that it plans to highlight a new Synchronized Companion App framework--that syncs iPads and other tablets, PC's and smartphones to the action on the TV screen--for its flagship Interactivity Suite (IS) at the 2011 NAB Show in April.

never.no Powers Twitter-Based Audience Interaction for Dubai's Al Aan TV

--Deployment is never.no's First in the Middle East

Norwegian interactive TV technology provider, never.no, has secured its first deployment in the Middle East. The company said Monday that Al Aan TV, a Dubai-based "infotainment" network that targets a female demographic, has deployed its Auto Dialog System and Interactivity Desk to enable audience interaction via Twitter. According to the company, its technology allows Al Aan TV to quickly and automatically "harvest," sort, respond to and broadcast moderated tweets from viewers.

Music Choice Taps Norway's never.no to Power its New Interactive TV Network, SWRV

Norwegian interactive TV software company, never.no, announced Monday that its flagship Interactivity Suite is a key technology component of SWRV, the new 24/7 interactive music video network that was launched earlier this year by multiplatform programmer, Music Choice. The network--which is currently available to Cox digital cable subscribers in New England and Virginia on Channel 900 and to Cox broadband subscribers nationwide (note: Music Choice says that the network will be rolled out by multiple operators to millions of homes across the US in the coming months)--offers a line-up of interactive TV shows that, among other things, allow viewers to submit content, vote for and rate videos, and take over entire programming blocks.

never.no Provides More Info on the Expansion of the Functionality of its Interactivity Desk

Norwegian interactive TV software company, never.no, has provided some more information on what it calls the "milestone expansion" of the functionality of its flagship Interactivity Desk solution (note: for an account of how the solution's expanded functionality is being used by Norwegian broadcaster, TV2, see the article published on itvt.com, April 7th). According to the company, the solution can now be used by broadcasters of all sizes as a central hub for acquisition and aggregation of multiple incoming feeds and sources, including social networks, viewer opinions, and background data from internal and external sources.

TV2 Using never.no's Technology both as Content Management Hub and to Enable Interactive TV

Norwegian interactive TV software company, never.no, said Tuesday that Norway's largest commercial broadcaster, TV2, has deployed its Auto Dialog System, Interactivity Desk and Dynamic Content Scheduler technologies behind-the-scenes, in order to create a single management hub for one-click publishing of digital content, regardless of its source or destination. The company says that the same technologies are also enabling TV2 viewers to use their mobiles and laptops to make live, real-time contributions during sports broadcasts and talk shows.
