--App Lets Users Access News from BBC, Al-Jazeera, France 24 and Other International Sources
In a posting on its corporate blog, Monday, OTT specialist Boxee announced the launch of a Boxee app from Livestation, a UK-based company that streams live news from a range of international sources, including the BBC, Al-Jazeera and France 24. The app can be found in the Boxee App Library by searching on "live tv news."
While the Livestation app's free channels are available on all versions of Boxee, its premium channels are currently available only to Mac- and Linux-based Boxee users. However, Boxee says that they will be available to Windows users in the near future. Boxee's other news offerings include on-demand videos from the Washington Post, CNN, the Associated Press and the Onion
