Interactive TV Headlines Round-Up (I): Aereo, Roku, CNET, CBS, Discovery, AOL On Network, Xbox, Kaltura, Audi

As most of you are probably aware, [itvt]'s daily news reporting was on hiatus for several weeks, because our editorial team was working on TVOT NYC Intensive 2012 and then taking a post-event break. In order to catch up with the news we missed during that period--as well as the huge volume of news generated earlier this month by CES 2013--we are covering stories in headlines/round-up format (note: we have marked older stories with the date they originally broke). We expect it will take us a couple of weeks to catch up with all recent developments, so if you have sent us a press release or briefed us about a piece of news, and don't yet see it covered here, please bear with us.

Interactive TV Headlines Round-Up (II): Icareus, Kaltura, Livestream, Perform, Sportal, Revision3, SeaChange, Neon Stingray, Synacor, ThinkAnalytics, Pace, TP Vision, JustAd.tv, Akamai, Verimatrix, TiVo, Opera, Vestel, Yospace

Because the [itvt] editorial team is busy working on our upcoming TV of Tomorrow Show event, TVOT NYC Intensive (December 10th in New York City)--and because of the large volume of news currently being generated by the IFA and IBC shows--we are covering stories in this issue in headlines format:

Interactive TV Headlines Round-Up (III): Kaltura, Ovation, Groupon, Littlewoods, Facebook, Microsoft, Alcatel-Lucent, Oi, Jack Myers, Nagra-OpenTV

As most of you are probably aware, [itvt]'s daily news reporting has been on hiatus for the past few weeks, because our editorial team has been working on the TV of Tomorrow Show and then taking a post-event break. We plan to cover the news we have missed via a series of headline round-ups, and then to resume daily news production. We expect it will take us a couple of weeks to catch up with all recent developments, so if you have sent us a press release or briefed us about a piece of news, and don't yet see it covered here, please bear with us.

Kaltura Launches "Virtual Marketplace" for Broadband Video Applications

At the NAB show in Las Vegas, Wednesday, Kaltura, a company that offers what it bills as the first open source broadband video platform, launched the "Kaltura Exchange" (http://exchange.kaltura.com), which it bills as a "virtual marketplace" where video publishers, developers, technology companies and service providers can share and trade in video applications and services connected to the Kaltura platform. According to the company, the Kaltura Exchange, which is currently in beta, is the first service of its kind in the video space, and will connect developers and service providers to publishers, value-added resellers and system integrators looking to expand upon the core Kaltura platform.
