French Interactive TV Technology Company, HTTV, Launches DSM-CC Object Carousel for HbbTV

French interactive TV technology and services provider, HTTV, contacted [itvt] Tuesday to let us know that it has launched a new DSM-CC Object Carousel solution, called PrimeStream HbbTV. As its name suggests, the new solution is designed for the HbbTV standard, which was recently approved by European standards agency, ETSI (see the article published on itvt.com, July 5th).

SoftAtHome Says Multiple Companies Developing for its Convergent Applications Platform

--Also Announces VOD Partnership with Anevia

SoftAtHome, a company created by France Telecom-subsidiary, Orange, with the stated goal of helping service providers deliver convergent applications for the digital home, announced Thursday that a number of companies--including such European interactive TV stalwarts as httv, Accedo Broadband, Visiware and Zappware--are "investing resources" in its SoftAtHome Operating Platform, and/or using the platform's free software development kit to build applications for it.
