Quick.tv in Interactive Video Partnership with Ooyala

--Quick.tv's Tools Let Ooyala Customers Add Clickable Hotspots and Other Interactive Features

London-based interactive video company, Quick.tv, announced last week that it will begin providing customers of Ooyala's broadband video platform with its interactive video technology. "[Quick.tv's technology] offers a wide range of monetization, engagement and editorial overlays for immediate use, whilst offering an editing facility with limitless creative potential for those who want to deliver a more specific user experience," the company's co-founder, Nick Bell, said in a prepared statement.

Tremor Media Launches New Interactive Video Advertising Formats

Online video advertising network operator, Tremor Media, on Wednesday announced a new series of broadband video advertising formats for its flagship Acudeo platform. "With our Acudeo technology tightly integrated within the player-environment across all of the sites in our in-stream network, Tremor Media is able to continually introduce new and innovative ad formats that can be reliably delivered at scale," Tremor Media CEO, Jason Glickman, said in a prepared statement. "These new formats benefit the entire video value chain--from advertisers to publishers to the end-consumer--by putting the viewer in control, enhancing engagement, and making video advertising more effective for brands."

VideoClix to Power Clickable Interactive Video for Dailymotion

VideoClix, a Vancouver-based provider of technologies for clickable interactive video (which it calls "hypervideo"), said last week that it has signed a deal with Dailymotion, a Paris-based company which claims that its flagship broadband video portal is the world's second-largest. According to VideoClix, its technology will provide Dailymotion users with an "active and engaging" experience while providing advertisers with a non-intrusive way to reach their target audience. "This partnership brings clickable video to the masses on a global scale," VideoClix CEO, Babak Maghfourian, said in a prepared statement. "It's a win, win, win for audiences, publishers and advertisers alike."

Adobe AIR-Based Interactive Trailer Launched for James Cameron's "Avatar"

Fox Filmed Entertainment has launched an interactive trailer for James Cameron's new movie, "Avatar." The desktop-based trailer has been available for download since November 24th on the movie's official Web site (http://www.avatarmovie.com), via the movie's social network profiles on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, and via Adobe's Web site.
