Endemol Unveils "Hybrid" (Cross-Platform, Cross-Genre) Formats for MIPCOM 2010

--Says Fox Has Commissioned Pilot of Two-Screen Interactive TV Format, "The Money Drop"

Formats developer, Endemol (credits include "Big Brother"), on Tuesday unveiled a line-up of what it describes as "hybrid formats that cross over programming genres and media platforms." It will be marketing the new formats at the upcoming MIPCOM 2010 tradeshow.

--Silverman's Electus Recently Announced Plans for "First-Ever Interactive Telenovela"

Earlier this week (see the article published on itvt.com, April 13th), [itvt] reported that Electus, the new IAC-backed company of veteran producer, Ben Silverman, was teaming with MTV, Procter & Gamble and "Ugly Betty" actress, America Ferrera, on a show entitled "Pedro & Maria" that Silverman and his fellow producers are billing as "the first-ever interactive telenovela."

YuMe Launches "Triple Play" Interactive Video Ad Format

Broadband video advertising technology provider, YuMe, on Tuesday announced the launch of a new video ad format dubbed "Triple Play." According to the company, Triple Play is a pre-roll video ad that is enhanced with an interactive menu that provides additional options for viewers to engage with a brand. The company claims that the new offering is unique "in that it lets viewers decide how they want to interact and engage with the advertiser." The offering was launched in partnership with Horizon Interactive and the latter's client, Livescribe, on a video ad for Horizon's Pulse pen: the ad is embedded above.

Tremor Media Launches New Interactive Video Advertising Formats

Online video advertising network operator, Tremor Media, on Wednesday announced a new series of broadband video advertising formats for its flagship Acudeo platform. "With our Acudeo technology tightly integrated within the player-environment across all of the sites in our in-stream network, Tremor Media is able to continually introduce new and innovative ad formats that can be reliably delivered at scale," Tremor Media CEO, Jason Glickman, said in a prepared statement. "These new formats benefit the entire video value chain--from advertisers to publishers to the end-consumer--by putting the viewer in control, enhancing engagement, and making video advertising more effective for brands."

Dailymotion Launches New Interactive Advertising Formats for Connected TV, IPTV

--Says It Will Announce Several New Connected TV Partnerships at CES

Paris-based video-sharing site operator, Dailymotion, on Tuesday announced the launch of new interactive advertising formats that are designed for connected TV (OTT) and IPTV implementations of its service. The company says that the new formats--which come on the heels of its launch of an ad-supported iPhone/iPod touch application (see the article published on itvt.com, December 22nd)--expand its "ad-supported content strategy to all three screens."
