The new channel's talent includes, among others, Joe Penna (YouTube handle: MysteryGuitarMan), an established YouTube star who has over 2 million subscribers and whose videos make extensive use of YouTube's Annotations interactive video platform. Penna was recognized as one of the top 10 new directors of 2010 at the 20th Cannes Lions Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase for his video "T-Shirt War"; and his video, "Guitar: Impossible" was selected for the YouTube Play Shortlist, a collaboration between YouTube and the Guggenheim Museum.
In this recorded episode of [itvt]'s talk radio show, "Radio [i]tvt," Penna and Big Frame co-founder/head of talent management, Sarah Penna (who also happens to be Penna's wife), discuss the new channel; interactive and social viewing experiences on YouTube; using Annotations to build an audience; the business of being a YouTube star; and more.
