zeebox at TVOT NYC Intensive 2011
[itvt] is pleased to present a video recording of a keynote presentation by zeebox founder and CTO, Anthony Rose, which was one of the highlights of our recent TVOT NYC Intensive event (took place December 5th in New York City).
Rose's presentation marked the US debut of zeebox's flagship second-screen social-TV platform. Since the show, UK satellite-TV provider, BSkyB, has taken a 10% equity stake in zeebox (see the article published on itvt.com, January 10th) and has begun integrating it into its programming (see the article published on itvt.com, January 30th).
Rose's presentation was described in the TVOT NYC Intensive 2011 brochure as follows:
"Hailed by Wired magazine as 'the man who saved the BBC' for his role in designing and launching the BBC iPlayer, Anthony Rose recently launched a social-TV service, called zeebox. The zeebox iOS application immediately become one of the most downloaded apps in the Apple App Store in the UK, and zeebox recently announced its first broadcaster deal--with the UK's Channel 4. This keynote TVOT NYC Intensive demo session represents zeebox's public debut in the US."
