Exclusive: Zodiac Delivers its PowerUp HTML5 Platform to Two "Tier-One" North American MSO's
--CEO Brandon Brown Discusses the Deployments with [itvt]
Interactive TV software company, Zodiac Interactive, says that two tier-one North American MSO's have contracted with it for the integration of its PowerUp HTML5 Application and Services platform with their service environments.
The PowerUp HTML5 platform, which launched last spring, is billed as delivering a Web browser presentation engine coupled with a service layer, in order to provide a rich authoring environment with full browser control of all systems and subsystems for IPTV infrastructures and set-top box application platforms, such as tru2way, PowerTV, Linux and GITV.

According to Zodiac, PowerUp HTML5 has been developed as a service-based, layered architecture that provides either a thin- or full-client frontend, supported by a "robust" service layer that separates the presentation layer from the underlying business logic and middleware. The company claims that the platform will support broad development of applications, with a consistent user experience, across all platforms, devices and screens, and enable speed-to-market and lower costs.
[itvt]'s Tracy Swedlow recently spoke to Zodiac CEO, Brandon Brown, about PowerUp HTML5 and the new MSO deployments of the platform. A recording of the interview is available below.
