Introducing FreeFlix, a free video-on-demand service streaming over 20,000 movies, TV shows and made-for-web video to Internet-enabled TV devices.

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 6, 2010) — RadioactiveGiant, LLC announces the release of its first hybrid app-video-on-demand service delivering interactive video entertainment to Internet-enabled devices. The launch will focus initially on distributing FreeFlix apps to TV-centric devices including disc players, game consoles, media extenders, set-top boxes and connected TVs. RadioactiveGiant has secured distribution on over 20 million IP devices in the US and over 100 million worldwide. Based on growth patterns and forecasts those numbers are expected to double by early 2011.

According to a recent report by iSuppli — Internet-enabled TV shipments will expand by more than 50 percent for the next two years, and then continue to increase at double-digit rates until the end of 2014, global new Internet-enabled TV shipments alone are anticipated to reach 148.3 million units, accounting for 54 percent of the total flat-panel TV market. These figures do not include other Internet-enabled consumer electronic devices and service provider products estimated to be well over 200 million in the US alone over the next five years.

In recently released research by In-Stat, Web-to-TV Video content revenue will grow by 750% to $17 billion by 2014. “RadioactiveGiant is an interactive media company developing new business models with a new approach to monetizing and promoting digital content and developing audiences for entertainment and consumer brands… we’re focused on delivering quality interactive TV experiences to modern connected consumers while enabling them to program their own entertainment” said Albert Sandoval, CEO of RadioactiveGiant.

FreeFlix will include an integrated interactive ad network offering diverse brand and product integration opportunities as well as targeting, custom data capturing and customer relationship management programs. FreeFlix allows advertisers custom integration unique to their specific goals, including branded interactive destinations, sponsorship and original branded entertainment through RadioactiveGiant’s multi-channel digital distribution network.
