AIT, the US division of AIT Group Plc, a UK based company, develops and integrates customer relationship management (CRM) systems for the financial services vertical market. They are currently exploring what they call "iDTV" or interactive digital television as a new way to offer those services in addition to a traditional call center, branch, and Web channels.

"This is a real working demo system that streams MPEG2 video along with XML interactive triggers. "Our role as a company is to integrate iDTV content with real transactional back-end systems - we'll interface to existing back end systems, provide the middle tier ('TV Server') and write applets/scripts to run on the set-top box." Deploying: AIT recently announced they are "building an iDTV channel for the Woolwich bank in the UK. This will be broadcast by BSkyB and over the "Open...." platform.
