NBC Universal has appointed Dan Bethlahmy as director of wireless
marketing, Tracy Kim as manager of digital products, and Emily
Powers as manager of business development for its Digital Distribution
group:
- Bethlahmy will be tasked with developing a trade and consumer
marketing approach to secure the company's position as a "first choice"
mobile partner and drive usage of its mobile content. He joins the
company from Virgin Mobile, where he was director of consumer
marketing, overseeing youth-oriented marketing, promotional and
communication efforts for Virgin Mobile's Data Service's group, and
led the group's strategic, business and product planning processes. He
will report to Stacy Melle, NBCU Digital Distribution's VP of
marketing.
- Kim will be responsible for the product development and
programming of NBCU's VOD, interactive TV and pay-per-view
offerings. She will assist in leading the development and management
of the company's set-top box-based digital offerings, particularly its
VOD and PPV offerings, with cable, satellite and telco clients. She
joins the company from Internet-based loyalty and rewards service,
Next Jump, where she was director of product management. She will
report to Michael Aaronson, NBCU Digital Distribution's VP of digital
products.
- Powers will be tasked with supporting the NBCU TV Networks
Distribution group in deals relating to digital offerings with cable,
satellite and telco companies, as well as broader corporate strategic
projects. She recently graduated from NYU's Stern School of Business,
where she was a Director's Scholar and specialized in entertainment,
media and technology, and strategy. Her resume prior to graduate
school includes stints at National Geographic, HBO, and
IAC/InterActiveCorp. She will report to Jennifer Boudreaux, NBCU
Digital Distribution's VP of business development.
