The French Association for Interactive Television (generally known by its French acronym, AFDESI) says that it has received 90 entries for its 2006 International Interactive TV Awards. The awards, now in their fourth year, will be presented on April 4th in a ceremony at the Grand Hotel Majestic in Cannes, during the MIP TV show. This year, [itvt] is teaming with AFDESI to offer a special award recognizing a leader in European interactive TV: the award is an extension of the [itvt] Awards for Leadership in Interactive Television, now in their third year, which will be presented on April 11th at the NCTA's National Show in Atlanta, Georgia. The categories for AFDESI's International Interactive TV Awards are: Jury "Grand Prix"; [itvt] European ITV Leadership Award; Call TV; ITV Services on Mobiles; Innovation and Technology; Design and Graphics; Standalone Services; Enhanced Television Services; Advertising, Marketing, and Tcommerce; Games, Betting and Gambling; and Best ITV Audiovisual Work.
