The American Film Institute (AFI) Digital Content Lab (DCL) will hold its "Semi-Annual Production Wrap" from 9:00AM to 5:00PM on Tuesday, February 7th at the AFI's campus in the Hollywood Hills. The event will be followed by cocktails. While admission is free, the organization is requesting that those interested in attending RSVP by January 31st (note: to RSVP, go to http://www.afi.com/join/DClRsvp.aspx and fill out the online form). The event will feature interactive TV and multiplatform prototypes based on content from A&E/History Channel, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Reuters, Simmons Lathan Media, Telemundo, WWE, and Zodiac Gaming. The DCL is designed to bring together owners of media properties with interactive technology and production experts--whom the DCL refers to as "mentors"--in order to create interactive prototypes for television and other platforms. It was formerly know as the Enhanced TV Workshop: the name change was made to reflect the fact that the interactive media projects fostered by the organization are being designed for an ever-broader range of digital platforms.
