Wireless carrier, Verizon, has signed a deal with The WB Network, under which the latter is making available on-demand scenes and trailers from its shows, "Everwood," "Gilmore Girls," "Smallville," and "Supernatural," on Verizon's V CAST mobile TV service. (Note: the V CAST service is delivered over Verizon's "EV-DO"--or "Evolution Data Optimized"--high-speed data network, and is currently available in over 170 US cities for $15 per month.) The deal will see the content from each show offered on the service the day before that show airs. "When people leave their house in the morning they grab their keys, their wallet or purse and their mobile phones," Jim Noonan, SVP and general manager of Warner Bros. Online, said in a prepared statement. "What better way to deliver Warner Bros. content than through the one device they take with them everywhere?" Warner Bros. is also offering classic Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera cartoons on the service, including "Bugs Bunny," "The Flintstones," and "Scooby-Doo." In addition, it is offering video trailers for new movie releases from Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Independent Pictures and Warner Home Video.
