UK-based set-top box manufacturer, Pace Micro, which is trying to gain marketshare in the US, has added two regional account executives to its US account management team: Jim Holzel, who will serve operators in the eastern US, and Mark Besocke, who will serve operators in the western US. They will report to Brian Cotter, director of national accounts at Pace Americas. According to Pace, Holzel, who is based in Philadelphia, has a strong background in broadcast video equipment, middleware and conditional access technology. His career includes stints as district sales manager, mid-Atlantic area sales manager, and business line manager for Panasonic, and as northeast regional sales manager for Canal+ Technologies. Besocke's experience is in broadband cable and high-speed data. His career includes stints as senior sales solution manager at TV Guide, as director of national sales for billing systems provider, ETI, and as senior account manager at AT&T Broadband. He also worked for AT&T (now part of Comcast) HITS.
