Youth marketing agency, Livity, has created a drama series, entitled "Dubplate Drama," that will allow viewers to vote to determine its course. Each 15-minute episode of the series--which tells the story of a young, female MC who is trying to make it in the music business, and which stars an array of hip-hop stars from the UK--will end with what its producers describe as a "dramatic moral cliffhanger" for the show's lead character. Viewers will then vote via SMS to determine which of two possible paths the character will take. Each of the show's six episodes will premiere on Sony's PSP (PlayStation Portable), and will then have its television premiere on UK terrestrial broadcaster, Channel 4: the show's first episode will debut on-demand on the PSP Web site at 12:00AM on November 11th, and will be broadcast on Channel 4 24 hours later. The show will also be broadcast on MTV Base and on Channel 4's digital sister-channel, E4. In addition, an adapted version will be available on UK mobile network, 3.
